Discount for Colts Parents

Old Whitgiftians CC is having a new season recruitment drive for prospective new adult playing members for the adult teams. Therefore as an incentive to colts parents wishing to take up the time honoured sport of cricket the Colts Committee have negotiated a £25 discount for colts parents wanting to join as playing members of the club. The £25 discount will be placed on a loyalty card for you to spend at the club bar as you see fit.

Not only does the subscription cover cricket, but if you are adept at more than one sport, it will also cover football, hockey and rugby.

The standard subscription fee is £225 or £168.75 by direct debit.
For colts parents, deducting the £25 discount, works out to £200 or £143.75 by direct debit.
Membership forms and further details can be found at http://www.owcc.org/ under Membership.

COLTS PRESENTATION AWARDS 2011

Dear Colts and Parents,

Myself and Sailesh are lowering the curtain to this years' OWCC Colts season. Therefore, if you are not already aware, we are holding the 2011 Colts Presentation Day on Sunday 18th September 2011 at the clubhouse and you are all formally invited.

The colts committee and its managers will be presenting awards in the following categories for each age group:-
  • NEC Player of the Year
  • Most Improved Player of the Year
  • Clubman of the year
  • In a departure from previous years we will also be awarding four special awards to four special colts as well as medals to our very youngest age groups.
This will indeed be a glittering afternoon / evening of awards..!! The presentation will start 3pm sharp so please be seated by 2.30 / 2.45.

After the awards ceremony there will be some great authentic Indian food (vegetarian and non vegetarian) as well as some authentic English..!! Food for colts members will be complimentary, however we will need to make a nominal charge of £5 per head for parents and guests. Please see Erbil or your team manager to purchase food vouchers. This is great value for some some great food.
(All non vegetarian food will be Halal).

The evening will be rounded of by some lively music by our professional DJ 'Emron' (a regular at Classic's Night Club) to start the end of season party. Music will end around 8pm in time to get the colts back home, rested and ready for school the next morning (I can hear the groans already.!!).

This will indeed be a night to remember..!!

Please make every effort to join us.

Regards,
Erbil Faik
Sailesh Khetia

NatWest CricketForce 2011
Sunday 17 April 10am - 1.30pm

NatWest CricketForce is an England and Wales Cricket Board volunteering initiative aimed at rejuvenating the nation’s cricketing facilities.

CricketForce encourages cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake small and large renovations to clubhouses and grounds, typically over a special weekend before the start of the cricket season.

Another great turnout by the Old Whits faithful accompanied by glorious South Croydon weather. The ground soon looked ship shape for the start of the season. Everyone worked up an appetite and a thirst which was quenched by a drink on the club and some great food 'alfresco' courtesy of our club caterer Ricky.  Unfortunately some of our volunteers turned up at 1.30pm instead of 10.00am. Never mind, it's the thought that counts. However, they too were fed following their committment to work twice as hard next year! (Pictures on main website under CricketForce Report).
